    To avoid a considerable amount of plastic in food packaging, it is known to manufacture the container from cardboard and to line it with a thin plastic film. The container jacket forms a circumferential edge flange which is covered with the plastic lining, so that a lid made of plastic can be sealed with the edge flange covered by the plastic lining. It is disadvantageous, however, that the container lined with a plastic film cannot be recycled as special waste as a direct recycling of the cardboard portion. In order to remedy this, it has already been proposed (EP 2 965 997 A1) to provide the lining film with a tab projecting over the edge flange, with the aid of which the plastic lining can be removed from the cardboard container.
    In another known food packaging (WO 2013/002693 A1), the plastic lining of the cardboard container is connected to a ring that is laminated onto the edge flange of the container shell and that can be pulled off the edge flange with the aid of a protruding edge flap, so that the ring with the plastic film is detached from the cardboard container of the

    Particularly advantageous manufacturing conditions result if the edge flange is injection molded onto the upper edge of the container shell, because in this case a separate joining step for connecting the edge flange to the container shell is omitted.
